My biggest concern is trying to get a schedule and routine together for mom. Now that mom is there, I have to find things out when I am up there visiting or when I call. They do not proactively call me to give me progress reports, and I wish they would.
They offer nothing for patients who are in the early stages of Alzheimer’s with memory loss but relatively intact cognitive abilities. It is shabby at best and not very clean. I would tell others that from the moment of first stepping in for a tour, I knew it would be home for my loved one. My loved one immediately sat down and said I'm home. My loved one made a lot of friends during the stay. The food was good for and my loved one really enjoyed the breakfast. The biggest complaint was the big portion sizes.
They have made sure that we feel good as a family with the decision and they take extra time to talk with her during her transition. Even when time is short and they are busy, they TAKE the time to stop and listen. We appreciate all that this facility has done for our mother and family – we would be hard pressed to find a more caring community.
We enjoyed the tour and when the time comes for this type of... My brother and I had a very good experience when we toured the facility. Staff members were very friendly and accommodating. We found the facility to be very clean and well maintained.
